                 Professional Mainstage Production - Theater Mitu

My first collaboration with the company, Theater Mitu.  This was an extremely unique and exciting process to take part in.  The team was diligent to create dynamic work surrounding the modern conceptions and ideologies of Shakespeare's Hamlet.  With many of the company members working individually or as small teams in the rehearsal room, as well as working with various source materials, the ideas entering the room branched in several directions immediately.  For this, I was tasked to create a kind of labyrinth: a theatrical space consisting of many rooms where the audience could explore the space, become lost in their surrounds, and be enveloped by the work.   

Many of the technical aspects of the show were in the rehearsal room from Day 1, or added into the process as the ideas emerged.  We were able to work with new equipment and technologies, both exciting our 'inner tech nerds' and expanding our artistic breadth with the equipment.  We were able to really workshop with the equipment and truly integrate it as another player in the show.
